No surprises here. Obviously, my "go to" genre is folk music and the Stones are in there with a nod to nostalgia. Bluegrass is also well represented in my play list, but after that my list descends quickly into onesies and twosies of favorite old and new selections. The blues, jazz, country, and oldies from the 60's are all represented in my list, but folk music predominates. I have no idea what this tells you about me, but there it is. Now what's on your list?
Will and I had to finally get separate ipods because we listen to such different music. Much to his dismay my playlists are full of country music with some David Wilcox , Jack Johnson, and Nancy Griffith. Oh...did I mention country music?
ReplyDeleteMost of the time I just have my ipod on shuffle mode. I like the element of surprise. Although, I do skip songs frequently...
ReplyDeleteI did look at the most played list. Turns out it's really my kids list, they request the same songs over and over.
Since we moved to NY, I have not used my ipod as much. Maybe it's because we're bombarded here with media, other peoples ipods too loud on the subway, or Latin music in the middle of the night. Quietness is what we strive for. Although, we do plug it in for road trips.
ReplyDeleteThat's a fun question! My top five most played songs are...
ReplyDelete1 - New Slang - The Shins
2 - Each Coming Night - Iron & Wine
3 - Song for a Winter's Night - Sara McLaughlin
4 - Lost Cause - Beck
5 - The Only Living Boy In New York - Simon & Garfunkel
